Practitioner Profile: Dustin Brooks, Staff Orthotist

After Dustin Brooks served a tour of duty in Iraq with the Army in 2003 and 2004, he came back home to study biology at the University of Missouri St. Louis, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2007. Then, he went on to earn a Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics at Georgia Tech in May 2009. While in Georgia, Dustin also worked for the Prosthetic and Orthotic Componentry Clearinghouse, an organization which sends prosthetic parts like feet and knees to places like Cambodia and Sudan. Dustin is currently working on his NCOPE orthotic residency, a one-year program with P&O Care, after which he will take his board exams to become an ABC Certified Orthotist.
